United States v. Reuben Marshall. - Will Spade achieved a Not Guilty verdict on April 21, 2016, after a 4-day jury trial in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in the case of United States v. Reuben Marshall, No. 2:15-CR-00088-RK. In U.S. v. Marshall, the government’s evidence included a 19-minute recording of Mr. Marshall discussing the details of robbing a federal credit union with a confidential human source. Mr. Spade’s creative defense zeroed in on the fact that Mr. Marshall never actually achieved a “meeting of the minds” with the alleged co-conspirators. See the verdict sheet here.

Commonwealth v. Michael Tate – Aggravated assault charges against retired Marine dismissed at preliminary hearing in Philadelphia Municipal Court after cross-examination revealed that complainant had fabricated evidence as revenge for earlier incident in which complainant served state sentence for discharging his firearm against retired Marine and his wife.

Commonwealth v. John Doe Delaware County District Attorney declined prosecution against 52 year-old medical researcher accused of rape and aggravated indecent assault after Will Spade’s forensic investigation convinced them that they could not attain a conviction. March, 2015.
